About us

Hi, My name is Genesis! I’m the owner of Motif Music. Below you will find more details about me and my fellow team! We hope we can assist you and we can get along!

“There is no such thing as talent... Only hard work and dedication”

Hi, I’m Genesis—the pianist, educator, and heart behind Motif Music.

Born and raised in Florida, my love for music began early, and by the age of eight, I was already at the piano, discovering the magic of melodies. I am proud to be enrolled with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), where I have earned multiple advanced certifications in piano, music theory, and music history. My training has shaped both my approach to performance and my dedication to music education. I also hold an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Music Business, equipping me with the skills to not only perform but to inspire and guide my students on their musical journeys.

With over eight years of teaching experience, I specialize in personalized piano instruction with a strong foundation in music theory and technique. I actively train students for RCM exams as well as auditions for prestigious arts programs such as Bak Middle School of the Arts and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to excel.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me sipping coffee, spending time with family, or cozying up for a movie night in my favorite fuzzy socks. If any of those resonate with you, we’re already off to a great start!

“Music is your friend! It is meant to be enjoyed and shared.”

Hello, my name is Isaac and I grew up in South Korea.

I’ve been playing piano since I was 4 years old! Above all, I love music. In Korea, I was taught different genres of music including Jazz and Classical. I love to Improv and Compose and I’m a fan of modern music. Therefore, I can teach different types of styles to my students. My goal is to guide my students through their own path. I want them to enjoy and practice music of their choice without losing interest in learning the piano. To me, piano and music are like friends. I hope that music can be a best friend who comforts and makes you happy.

Playing piano is not easy, but it’s not impossible.

It may take a long time to to learn, but I think it is most important for students to spend that time with a good teacher. Therefore I will try my best to be the good teacher my students need and deserve.
